Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and AlephDot SRL ("ZenRockets", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your access to and use of the ZenRockets website, applications, and related services (the "Service"). By accessing the Service, creating an account, or using any feature, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
ZenRockets is a rocket-design and flight-simulation application for educational and exploratory use. It lets you design rockets and motors, run simulations, visualize results, import flight data, and optionally share your work with others.
Educational Use Only; No Reliance
ZenRockets is provided for educational and exploratory purposes only. Simulations, calculations, visualizations, imported data, validation messages, and generated results are estimates and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for real-world conditions. They are not launch-safety advice, professional engineering services, engineering approval, certification, regulatory approval, or a substitute for qualified professional review, certified tools, ground testing, or manufacturer data.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying information and complying with all laws, safety codes, range rules, manufacturer instructions, and launch-site requirements that apply to any real-world rocket activity. Do not rely on ZenRockets for any decision affecting the safety of a person, property, vehicle, launch, test, or operation.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to access or use ZenRockets. The Service is not intended for or directed to anyone under 16, including with parental or guardian consent. By accessing the interactive Service or creating an account, you represent that you meet these age requirements. You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions or located in an embargoed jurisdiction, and you must comply with applicable export-control laws. If you use ZenRockets on behalf of an organization, you also represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
Required Acknowledgement
Before creating an account, you must affirm that you understand ZenRockets is for educational and exploratory use only and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may require you to acknowledge an updated policy version before continuing to use the Service.
Accounts and Security
You can create an account by signing in with Google, GitHub, or an email magic link. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in method and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.
Your Content and License
You retain ownership of the content you create, upload, import, or save, including rocket designs, motor designs, simulation settings and outputs, flight data, and descriptions ("Your Content"). You grant ZenRockets a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and transmit Your Content as needed to operate and improve the Service. If you mark content as public, you also grant ZenRockets and other users a license to access and view that content within the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed for any content you upload or share. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.
Acceptable Use
You may not use ZenRockets to:
- violate laws, regulations, safety rules, or range rules;
- misrepresent simulation results as certified, guaranteed, or safety-approved;
- design, develop, test, or operate weapons, guided weapons, explosive devices, or systems intended to harm people or property;
- use the Service as the primary or sole basis for manufacturing, launch, range-safety, flight-safety, or other safety-critical decisions;
- upload or share unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, or deceptive content;
- interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service;
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- scrape, reverse engineer, or build a competing service from the Service, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- circumvent usage limits, security controls, or access restrictions; or
- use the Service in any way that creates unsafe real-world risk.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by ZenRockets or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
Premium Subscriptions and Billing
ZenRockets offers paid Premium features. You must be at least 18 to purchase a Premium subscription. Payments, trials, renewals, cancellations, invoices, taxes, and payment methods are handled by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record for Premium purchases and is responsible for charging applicable taxes.
Premium may include a free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts to paid and renews automatically each billing period at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. We may change Premium pricing or features, with notice for material changes that take effect on your next renewal. Cancellations and refunds are covered in the Refunds and Cancellations section below.
Refunds and Cancellations
Premium is sold through Polar, our merchant of record, which processes payments, taxes, receipts, cancellations, and refunds.
You can cancel at any time from Account → Subscription → Manage billing, which opens the Polar customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account reverts to the Free plan.
Your first Premium payment is refundable if you email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge with the order details from your Polar receipt or invoice. Renewal charges, unused paid periods, and charges older than 14 days are non-refundable except where required by law. Independently of this policy, Polar may issue refunds at its discretion under its buyer terms, including to prevent chargebacks.
This refund policy does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights. Your purchase is also subject to Polar's buyer terms.
Intellectual-Property Complaints
We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on ZenRockets infringes your rights, contact [email protected] with a description of the work, the location of the content, your contact details, and a statement of good-faith belief. We may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.
Termination
You may stop using ZenRockets at any time and delete your account from the account page. You can export Your Content using the built-in export features at any time before deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your license to use the Service ends, and Your Content is removed from active systems as described in our Privacy Policy; sections that by their nature should survive (including content licenses, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or suitable for any particular launch, engineering, educational, or safety purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you benefit from statutory conformity guarantees for digital services, and nothing in this section limits those rights or the remedies they provide.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZenRockets and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or real-world launch outcomes, arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you. These limitations do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to intent or gross negligence, or to any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZenRockets and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our breach of these Terms or our own fault.
Changes to the Service and These Terms
We are continually improving ZenRockets and may add, change, or discontinue features of the Service. If a change materially reduces the value of your paid subscription, you may cancel it and, where required by law, receive a proportional refund for the unused period.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you, such as with a notice in the app or by email, and the changes take effect after that notice — immediately only where required by law or for new features. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, and disputes relating to them are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania. This does not deprive you of any non-waivable consumer rights or protections under the laws of your country of residence.
General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and ZenRockets regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may provide notices through the Service or by email.
